Ingredients:
~ 1 pound ground meat of your choice, I use beef, lamb or deer
~ 3 16oz cans of chili beans
~ 29oz can of tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
~ 1/2 can of tomato paste
~ 1 onion
~ 1 bell pepper (optional)
~ 4 or more cloves of garlic
~ 2 jalapenos (optional)
~ 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water
~ 1/4 ketchup
~ 1 tablespoon of olive oil
~ 1 good shake of cholula hot sauce...or 5 whatever makes you happy
Seasoning:
~ 2 tablespoons of white or wheat flour
~ 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
~ 2 teaspoon cumin
~ 3 tablespoons of chili powder
~ 1 teaspoon of onion powder
~ 1 teaspoon of oregano
~ 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
~ 1 teaspoon white pepper (optional)
~ 1 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions:
1. Chop all peppers, onions and garlic. Measure out all your seasonings and mix together in a small bowl.
2. In a 6 quart pan put olive oil, chopped veg and ground meat, cook until almost completely done. Pour seasoning in to pan, stir then cook for one min.
3. Add in your tomato sauce, tomato paste, beans, water, ketchup, and hot sauce
4. Let simmer for an hour or two, stir occasionally.
Toppings:
Shredded cheese, green onion, sour cream or plain greek yogurt, crackers, corn chips.
Serve over:
Rice, any kind of pasta, french fries, or corn chips
