Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

~ 2 cups sifted flour

~ 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

~ 1/2 teaspoon salt 

~ 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

~ 3/4 cup sugar

~ 1 egg

~ 1 teaspoon vanilla

~ 1 tablespoon of milk

 

Instructions: 

1. Preheat oven to 350

2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together in a bowl, set aside.

3. In stand mixer or with a hand mixer, cream butter and sugar together until fluffy and pale yellow, add in egg and beat for another 45 seconds to a minute. Add in vanilla and milk mix until just combined.

4. Add in flour mixture, mix until dough forms. 

5. Chill until firm.

6.Roll out on floured surface to about 1/4 inch of thickness cut in to desired shape, place on parchment lined sheet pan spacing them about 1 inch apart. Bake for 8 to 12 mins.
