Ingredients:
~ 2 pounds shrimp
~ 1 package kielbasa or smoked sausage
~ 6 to 12 red potatoes depending on size
~ 4 ears of corn
~ 1 onion
~ 5 cloves of garlic
~ 2 teaspoon salt
~ 1 teaspoon garlic powder
~ 3 tablespoons old bay
~ 2 bay leaves
~ 1/4 cup melted butter for dipping
~ 1/4 cup softened butter for corn and potatoes
~ 1 lemon for topping (optional)
Instructions:
1. In 8 quart pan fill with water 3 inches below the top. Add in salt, old bay, garlic powder, bay leaves. Put pan over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Peel onion and garlic, cut in half and throw in pot.
2. Wash and cut potatoes in half if they're large, if not throw them in whole. Boil potatoes for about 12 mins or until almost fork tender add in corn the last 5 mins of the potatoes cook time.
3. (If your shrimp is frozen make sure you've thawed it out before you add it to the pan) When the potatoes are almost fork tender add in your shrimp peel and all, make sure to bring it back to a boil and cook the shrimp for 4 mins or until totally pink. You can also add the sausage in with the shrimp but we prefer to cut it in to 3 inch lengths slice down the middle but don't cut all the way through, open it up and fry it on both sides in a separate skillet to get it nice and crispy.
4. When everything has fully cooked, drain and pour out on to a big platter. Serve with lemon, butter, salt and pepper or any other toppings you might like and enjoy!
