Ingredients:
~ 5 to 6 bone in skin on chicken thighs or legs
~ 1 pound fresh, frozen or canned green beans
~ 2 teaspoons garlic powder
~ 2 teaspoons salt
~ 1 teaspoon pepper
~ 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Season chicken on both sides with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. In cast iron or oven safe skillet over medium/high heat add in olive oil and place all your thighs or legs skin side down and sear on all sides until skin is crispy, will take about 5 to 7 mins
2. Stick your seared ckicken in the oven cook for 20 mins or until internal temp reaches 165 degrees. While your chicken is cooking wash and snap any bad ends of your fresh green beans and give them a wash. In a medium sauce pan bring salted water to a boil and blanch green beans for about 3 mins, strain and rinse with cold water, set aside. When chicken is done remove chicken from pan and place on plate to rest.
3. In the same pan you cooked the chicken in, if there is more than a tablespoon of oil in the pan drain it just a bit. Put it over medium/high heat and throw your green beans in, season with remaining salt pepper and garlic powder, cook until soft about 10 mins and enjoy!
